   My Other E-Book

This is information regarding the email you sent me, and how I obtained your e-mail address.  This is how you can prevent yourself and friends from being spammed!

Hello Everyone.

I guess your wondering why I have sent you an e-mail that directed you to this site.  Well it's because you sent me an E-Mail and probably didn't even realize it!  I'm not the only one you sent an e-mail to.  You literally sent an e-mail to hundreds of people that now have your email address as well!

I have been playing around with computers since I was twelve and the thing I hate most is when people don't know how to send e-mail.  Well if you keep reading I will show you how to properly send e-mails that WILL resolve unsolicited e-mail.

I have not kept anyone's email address I have ben sent!

Every who is viewing this page has either directly or in-directly sent e-mail to me.  Most of you don't even have my address but I have still received an e-mail from you.

How I obtained your e-mail address!

You have forwarded an e-mail to your friends/family/coworkers who then decided to foreword that email too, then the people that forwarded the mail you sent them, forwarded it to someone else.  And it just keeps going through that process!

What you don't realize is that e-mails have what's called a HEADER that is used for tracking purposes.  That header contains your e-mail address and all the e-mail addresses you have sent it to, along with other tracking information.

When you send/forward an e-mail to more than one recipient!

You have probably seen it yourself!  Usually at the top of an email, that has been forwarded, is a bunch of email addresses of all the people you/someone have sent it to.  This is because when you or someone else sent or forwarded the mail, you or they have put someone's e-mail address in the To: field for sending the message.

There are better and more secure ways to send e-mail to more than one person at a time!   There are several options you can use so you don't send someone someone else's e-mail address.

When you use the To: field to send a message to multiple people, everyone can see who else you sent it to!  This is also true for the CC: field which is an acronym for Carbon Copy!

If you don't want to them to know this information then everyone's email address you wish to send or forward to in the BCC: field!  BCC: is an acronym for Blind Carbon Copy!  What this will do is send the e-mail as it normally does, but no one else can see who you sent it to!

So, if you are going to send an email to more than one person use the BCC: field!   Some of you may not have this field visible, I know that MSN Hotmail does not have this field visible by default!  You have to go into your account settings and enable it!  You do this after you have logged in by clicking on the options link.  You will then se a screen with the following menu on the left of the page like the following picture:

You then select Mail to go to your mail settings, from there you select the following option:

Mail Display Settings
Change the number of messages shown on a page, hide images in junk e-mail, and more.

When you get there you will se an option to change Message Headers. You should change this setting to advanced.

Now when you send or forward mail, you will be able to put everyone's email address in the BCC: field and no one will be able to see who you sent the message to, in fact they will only see your email address in the from header, and only their email address in the to header!

I hope this page was helpful to you! If you really really thought it was informative then please make a donation through Paypal using the Donate Button, although you are not obligated to do so!

Please forward this page to all your friends, family, coworkers using the BCC: line you just learned about so you and they can keep your inbox free of unsolicited e-mail!
